Shape works with any app that supports MCP. You just need the server URL.

Add the server

Add this as a Streamable HTTP MCP server in your client.

Sign in

Clients with OAuth send you to a Shape page to approve the connection, and that’s it.

Clients without OAuth

Create a token in Settings → API access and send it as Authorization: Bearer shape_.... For clients with a JSON config:

A token can read and change your training, so keep it as safe as a password. If one leaks, revoke it in the same place and create another.
