Anything you train for, with a race or without one. Every plan follows the sports science on endurance training: blocks that build, recovery weeks and a proper taper before race day. For running from 5K to ultra, cycling events, triathlon from sprint to Ironman, swimrun, cross-country ski races and open-water swims, it also knows the weekly hours and the long session each distance needs, and builds you up to them.
Yes. It can put strength sessions in your week alongside the running, riding and swimming. Structured strength workouts, with exercises, sets and reps, and connections to strength apps like Hevy and Strong are planned.
ChatGPT and Claude wait for you to ask, and work with what you tell them. Shape Coach is proactive: it reads every workout and every night from your watch, and reaches out on its own when your actual data says the plan should change. It keeps the plan on your calendar and syncs every workout to your watch, so you never have to remember to ask. If you like asking ChatGPT and Claude too, Shape connects to both, with the same data and the same plan.
Yes. Shape is a training planner you can use today: your workouts and health data from Garmin, Apple Watch, Wahoo and Intervals.icu in one place, your fitness, fatigue and form, workouts sent to your watch, and all of it open to Claude and ChatGPT, for $5 a month. Your history is already there when the coach arrives. See Shape
No, Shape Coach is its own plan. It includes everything in Shape, so you'd never pay for both, and your current Shape plan keeps working as it is. We'll share the price when the coach opens up.
For now, yes. The coach texts you in iMessage, so it needs an iPhone. Your plan, your calendar and your training load are also on the web.
Garmin, Apple Watch and Wahoo directly, and COROS, Suunto, Polar and others through Intervals.icu. It reads your workouts and your nights from them, and sends every session to your watch as steps to follow.
Tell it the way you'd tell a person, or don't: it sees from your watch that the session didn't happen. It reworks the rest of the week around it and checks with you before moving anything you've planned.
Your training stays yours. We don't sell it, we don't put it in a public feed, and we don't use it to train AI models.
The coach is in a small private beta. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know when it opens up.
