Connect Polar to Shape
Updated November 7, 2026
Connect Polar from Settings → Connections on the web. Your last four weeks of sleep and Nightly Recharge come across within minutes, and every workout and night after that follows on its own.
Connect
- 1
Open Connections
Go to Settings → Connections on the web and pick Polar.
- 2
Sign in to Polar Flow and approve
You land back in Shape, where the row says it’s importing the last four weeks in the background.
What comes through
- Workouts, with heart rate, pace, power and laps from the watch’s own recording.
- Sleep with its stages and resting heart rate, plus HRV and breathing rate from Nightly Recharge. Polar’s sleep score and Nightly Recharge status come along too.
- Daily steps and active calories, and your weight from your Polar profile.
How far back it goes
Sleep and daily health go back four weeks from the day you connect. Workouts don’t: Polar only shares the ones uploaded to Polar Flow after you connect, so your calendar starts with your next workout.
After that, new data arrives once your watch syncs with Polar Flow. A night’s Nightly Recharge can show up to an hour after its sleep.
Planned workouts
They can’t go to a Polar watch. Polar’s connection only lets Shape read your data, and Intervals.icu can’t send to Polar either. Your plan stays on your Shape calendar.
If it doesn't connect
- “Accept Polar’s terms in Polar Flow first, then connect again.” Polar won’t share anything until you’ve accepted its latest terms and data consents. Sign in to Polar Flow on the web, accept what it asks you to, then press Connect in Shape again.
- already_connected means that Polar account is linked to another Shape account. Disconnect it there first.
- Something missing after a sync? Open Polar in Settings → Connections and press Sync now to read again everything Polar still holds.
Disconnect
Open Polar in Settings → Connections and press Disconnect. Shape removes its access at Polar and deletes the workouts and health data it got from Polar.
