Connect Apple Health to Shape
Updated November 1, 2026
Apple Health lives on your iPhone, so this connection runs through the Shape iPhone app. There’s nothing to set up on the web.
Connect
- 1
Install the Shape iPhone app
Sign in with the same account you use on the web.
- 2
Open Connections
In the app, go to Settings → Connections and pick Apple Health.
- 3
Allow access
Apple asks which data Shape may read. Allow all of it, since anything left off simply won’t arrive.
Since iOS 27, Apple may also ask how much history to share: the last 30 days or all of it. We recommend all, so your training load has your full history to work from.
What comes through
Your recent workouts, whichever app recorded them: the Watch Workout app, or apps like Strava, Any Distance, Nike Run Club, Peloton and Zwift, as long as they save workouts to Apple Health. Plus sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, VO2 max, body composition and steps.
If you only want workouts recorded on your Apple Watch, turn on Apple Watch workouts only under Apple Health. Workouts from other apps are then left out.
What Shape doesn’t read
Shape is built for endurance training, so it reads your workouts and the health metrics that matter for them, not everything in Apple Health. Nutrition isn’t included yet, but it’s planned for a future update.
If you also connect other providers
That’s fine. Shape merges your health data into one daily record, and a workout that arrives both ways only shows once.
